I am a New Zealand–born artist based in Brisbane, Australia. For over the past decade, my practice has explored the spatial and temporal poetics of remote, networked cameras, primarily through photomedia and live-streaming video installations. My artwork reflects upon these outdoor cameras’ transportive capabilities, not only in regards to vicarious travel but also in the manner that the spaces of the imagination and the virtual can overlap and interweave. I am particularly interested in the aesthetics of these pixelated scenes in relation to the ‘sublime’, both as a multi-faceted, evolving, philosophical concept and as a visual, codified, art-historical trope.

I have lectured in photomedia at Massey University and Victoria University in New Zealand, and worked as a sessional photography lecturer and tutor at Queensland College of Art, Griffith University.
